Does stretching for Taekwondo, or stretching for martial arts, make you kick any higher?
Well the quick answer is yes and no.
Stretching can help increase flexibility, which in turn can help you perform kicks with a greater range of motion and this can lead to the ability to kick higher.
Stretching alone will not necessarily make you kick higher. You need a combination of stretching, strength training and drilling the technique (practice) to improve your kicks.
And I would put practice at the top of the list!
But for those that do practice and you need to do more stretching, here we have a section just for you. And you might also be interested in the Hyperbolic Stretching program which you'll find details of on our Bonuses Page.
